The selection in this compilation is based on those stories which he most often repeats.ĥ. Osho tells thousands of stories about himself. After 1960, extracts are more immediate: what Osho says at the time of certain events his teachings as he develops them his guidance on meditation as it is given.Ĥ. Since Osho's words are recorded only since the early 1960's, the earlier part of his life is told in retrospect. Because of their diversity of origin, the style of consecutive extracts may vary.ģ. The books are published over a period of thirty years, and many are translations from Hindi books.Ģ. These books were not written by Osho, but are verbatim transcripts of his discourses darshans (intimate talks with disciples), interviews with disciples, visitors, and journalists letters written by Osho and personal talks which Osho gave.

Through his grace, the dream did come true. He instructed Swami Anand Arun to start looking for the land where, finally, his dream of Himalayan commune would come true. Osho had a love affair with the Himalayas. During 1985-1986 Osho also made a world tour and travelled to 21 different countries including Nepal. Later in 1981, Osho travelled to America, where he established his spiritual commune, Rajneeshpuram. Thousands of young people flocked to the exotic ashram in Pune, India to meditate in his presence.
